Job Description:

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cloud infrastructure services.

What You'll Do:

• Gain a deep understanding of the environment, user expectations, and the overall system design.

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Test the system’s behavior under different failure scenarios to ensure fault tolerance and resilience.

• Participate in capacity planning activities to ensure the infrastructure can support future growth and demand

• Validate backup and restore procedures, failover mechanisms, and resilience strategies.

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality from the early stages of development.

• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in using Selenium and other testing tools like PostMan and BrowserStack.

• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, XRay, Jira, and other industry-standard tools.

• Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog for monitoring and analysis

• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve testability and system design.

• Clearly communicates test results, issues, and potential risks to stakeholders.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Understanding of performance testing and load testing methodologies.

• Ability to ensure microservices can handle expected traffic and performance levels.

• Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities

• Experience with Infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform.
