Job Description:

Alation is seeking a Sales Ops / Deals Desk Analyst for a 4-month Contract to join a results-driven organization that drives financial growth and exceeds expectations. The Sales Ops / Deals Desk Analyst will help to identify and drive commercial solutions with sellers in order to achieve objectives and close financially viable deals. This is a great opportunity to join a growing sales team with a presence throughout the US and in EMEA. The role is a US remote-based position in the East or Central Standard time zones.

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage with sales teams to collaborate and provide pricing and commercial terms for non-standard transactions. Transactions include new deals, contract renewals and expansions.

  • Perform deal pricing analysis and clearly present findings to the team.

  • Serve as an escalation point and provide approvals for progressing deals.

  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with critical business partners (e.g., Finance, Legal, Order Management, etc.) to expedite approvals and booking process.

  • Participate in the integration planning and execution process for new lines of business and products, including operational readiness and quoting readiness.

  • Ensure compliance with published sales and business approval policies.

  • Leverage observations, analytics, and feedback to identify enablement opportunities for sellers.

  • Drive organized & consistent execution of approval flows to minimize delays in deal progression and booking process.

  • Evaluate and assess current systems and tools for quoting.

  • Drive plan of record for implementation of improvements to the current business process.

What You’ll Need:

  • Two to three years experience in a deal desk, finance, contracts, or sales operations role, prefer software subscription experience

  • A self-starter, highly analytical, with sound decision-making skills.

  • The ability to work with and analyze large data sets.

  • Proficiency in Analytical tools and Modeling: XLS, G Suite.

  • Experience with SalesForce CRM and SalesForce CPQ is required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask.

  • Flexible to work extended hours during peak periods

  • BS/BA required.
