Job Description:
Alation helps enterprises harness data and AI with trust and intelligence. As the Director, Regional Marketing, you’ll lead a global team driving pipeline impact through regional strategies that amplify Alation’s data intelligence and AI product story.
This role blends global consistency with local market creativity, connecting regional execution directly to Alation’s mission: enabling organizations to use trusted data to power responsible AI. Lead with Purpose and Precision
Lead, coach, and mentor a global team of five Senior Regional Marketing Managers across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.
Build a culture that reflects Alation’s values: Raise the Bar, Move with Urgency, Win Through Results, Build Exceptional Teams, and Act Like the Owner You Are.
Translate global go-to-market strategy into regional execution that fuels predictable, scalable pipeline growth.
Act as the senior bridge between regional marketing, corporate marketing, and sales leadership to ensure unified direction and execution excellence.
Drive Global Campaigns that Accelerate AI and Data Adoption
Develop and scale a unified global field and ABM framework that positions Alation as the trusted foundation for AI-readiness, governance, and data intelligence.
Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Sales to localize messaging around data governance, cataloging, AI Agents, and data quality solutions.
Guide regions in executing integrated, multi-channel campaigns—digital, events, paid media, and ABM—anchored in Alation’s value to both data and AI leaders (CDOs, CIOs, CAOs).
Elevate campaign storytelling to connect business outcomes—trust, compliance, speed—with AI innovation.
Enable Regional Excellence Through Partnership and Innovation
Oversee regional activation of global and local initiatives, balancing global consistency with localized creativity.
Champion best practices in Sales collaboration: shared pipeline planning, joint territory strategy, and disciplined follow-up.
Partner with ecosystem and cloud providers (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS) to co-market data and AI solutions that extend Alation’s reach and relevance.
Foster a high-performing, insight-driven marketing culture that thrives on experimentation and accountability.
Measure What Matters
Establish global standards for pipeline attribution and campaign performance (SAL, SQL, pipeline contribution).
Partner with Marketing Operations to surface actionable insights on channel ROI, conversion velocity, and regional efficiency.
Continuously refine campaign and budget allocation using performance data and predictive analytics.
Own the Business, Not Just the Budget
Manage the global regional marketing budget, optimizing OPEX and MDF for maximum pipeline return.
Forecast and report spend efficiency and ROI transparently, acting as a data-driven steward of growth investments.
Model Alation’s ownership mindset—balancing strategic impact with operational discipline.
Collaborate to Win
Build strong partnerships with regional sales and customer success leaders, driving shared accountability for pipeline and revenue.
Establish global frameworks for joint planning, alignment sessions, and executive visibility into marketing impact.
Serve as a trusted partner to GTM and Product leadership, ensuring marketing execution supports Alation’s broader AI and data intelligence strategy.
What You Bring
12+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years leading global or regional teams.
Proven success leading field, demand generation, and ABM programs that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
Deep understanding of marketing in enterprise SaaS, preferably within data, analytics, or AI domains.
Demonstrated success partnering with Sales and cross-functional teams across regions.
Data-driven mindset—comfortable using Salesforce, Marketo, and attribution tools to drive decisions.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-growth, matrixed environment and to operate with urgency, accountability, and creativity.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Compensation Pay Range:
$170,658.00 - $230,388.00Salary Information
The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty and training. If the final candidate has a different level of experience, the base salary target range may be lower or higher than what is published.
