About the Team & Your Impact
We're pioneering a new way to enable human transformation at scale. We're now evolving from a multi-product company to a sophisticated platform that will power multiple, customizable solutions to serve diverse customer needs.
As our first Staff Product Designer focused on multi-product experiences, you'll lead a newly formed initiative dedicated to reimagining how our end-user experiences intersect. This is a unique opportunity to establish the design foundations that will shape how millions of people experience personal growth and professional development. You'll collaborate with product design leads across the organization to define how our platform scales and adapts while maintaining the quality that makes BetterUp special.
What You'll Do
Transform ambitious business goals into elegant, user-centered design solutions
Envision the UX architecture for our end-user platform
Drive cross-functional alignment through clear frameworks and decisive leadership
Establish scalable design principles and patterns across multiple products
Evolve our design system to support customizable experiences
Coach other designers and drive design excellence across teams
What You'll Bring
8+ years of product design experience with significant platform work in fast-growing companies, and a strong portfolio showcasing systems thinking and high-craft execution
Proven success leading multi-product design initiatives
Experience scaling design practices in fast-growing companies
Deep expertise in both information architecture and visual design
Track record of successful stakeholder management and team alignment
History of establishing frameworks that enable team autonomy
Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate our craft

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is $181,000 – $311,000.
If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:
$207,000 – $311,000: New York City
$181,000 – $271,000: Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Nassau, Newburgh, Syracuse
