Join us as a dedicated and experienced professional, serving as the focal point and Operational Safety authority for Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene in our HSSE department. In this role, you’ll support operations by developing and maintaining fit-for-purpose processes and tools. As the Contract Owner for health services, you’ll lead cost-effective services that align with our business goals. You’ll also assist peers with reviewing and documenting other Operational Safety procedures and support wider HSSE activities as needed.

Who we are looking for

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Occupational Health/Industrial Hygiene or a related technical field, preferably Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Experience: Demonstrated professional expertise in oil & gas, with experience in food safety, industrial exposures, and general occupational hazards. Experience of participation in audits and incident investigations
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of national and international offshore health & safety legislation.
  • Skills: Excellent presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain a current BOSIET Certificate and offshore medical. medical - the jobholder is expected to travel offshore as part of their duties to conduct safety briefings, inspections, audits and general communication activities as required.

Activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage medical services contract for TEPDK.
  • Direct Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessment on all company locations.
  • Oversee workforce exposure assessments and monitoring.
  • Manage Respiratory Protection Programme.
  • Provide hazard information/toxicological information on products, waste, emissions, hazardous chemicals, etc.
  • Evaluate OH/IH (Operational Health/Industrial Hygiene) risk inherent in TEPDK’s operations in terms of costs, physical information, reputation and general long-term implications on the business.
  • Evaluate legislative provisions and develop controls / procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Write and update OH/IH related procedures to maintain compliance with Group Rules.
  • Perform and direct OH/IH audits of Company and Contractor operations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and good OH/IH practice.
  • Participate in technical evaluation of contractors for specialized OH/IH activities.
  • Investigate OH/IH complaints and provide timely reporting of findings with appropriate recommendations.
  • Identify training requirements and establish commensurate training to all categories of staff and contractors.
  • Promote and develop site safety and occupational health communications.
