Candidate Profile

Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Procurement Lead - Renewables. This is a new addition to our team as we are strengthening our presence in renewable energies.

  • Undergraduate Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Procurement Certification is a plus (e.g., from ISM, CIPS, ASCM)
  • At least 7 years professional procurement experience, preferably in utility scale PV or wind projects or in the energy sector.
  • At least 3 years of experience in negotiating EPC and supply contracts.
  • Require familiarity with photovoltaic solar systems and technical standards as well as electrical technical knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Autonomous, with excellent organizational ability
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of leading efficiently and outperforming assigned objectives.
  • Familiarity in reading engineering and legal documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensure timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenarios.
  • Flexibility and pro-activeness
  • Good team player: willingness to help, commitment towards the preservation and growth of a professional and healthy working environment, confidence, and competence to deliver.
  • Experience with Ariba. MBC and SAP (or other ERP systems) is a benefit.
  • Energy storage knowledge a plus.

Activities

  • Strong knowledge of Contracts & Procurement process, standards, and best practices
  • Enforce TotalEnergies’ Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy in all his/her responsibilities and ensure that external third parties (EPC firms, consultants.) operate in a manner acceptable to TotalEnergies HSE standards
  • Build, maintain, and prioritize key vendor and contractor relationships, including providing regular guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, engineering, construction, and operations teams to forecast EPC and equipment costs as well as provide input regarding procurement risks.
  • Ensure suppliers are thoroughly vetted, as per TotalEnergies - Supplier Qualification process.
  • Prepare and conduct multiple RFPs for the procurement of utility-scale, solar, energy storage, and equipment supplies
  • High Voltage Market Expertise: Demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in today's High Voltage market, addressing key challenges and constraints.
  • PV Modules: Be up to date and ready to take on the state of the current market; in terms of pricing, trends, and key players in the PV module industry. Address challenges such as tariffs and domestic content approach.
  • Strategy Deployment: Develop and deploy procurement strategies, utilizing multiple RFx modalities to optimize procurement processes.
  • Industry Collaboration: Collaborate with industry-leading consultants to address procurement topics and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Volume Management: Proven experience handling the procurement activities for multiple Utility Scale Projects, managing corresponding contract values efficiently.
  • Forecasting and Risk Management: Collaborate with development, engineering, construction, and operations teams to forecast EPC and equipment costs and provide input regarding procurement risks.
  • Prepare and tender project services RFPs to support engineering, construction management and O&M services.
  • Solicit, maintain, and analyze pricing databases for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects and provide CAPEX data for project estimating.
  • Analyze, select, and negotiate equipment, EPC and O&M 3rd contracts in aggregate of $500 million per project.
  • Interface with an internal team of project engineering, asset management, legal and accounting staff as well as deliverables of EPC, client, regulatory and permitting authorities.
  • Assist with the development of internal operating policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Other support within the Solar - Utility Scale Execution team, as needed
