Sustenance Engineer - DBs

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

  • Work with Cohesity customers to provide a timely resolution to technical support for Cohesity’s Oracle/SQL solutions.
  • Use available tools to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Record customer interactions, including investigation, troubleshooting, and the resolution of issues
  • Work closely with Cohesity’s Engineering Squads and account management teams.
  • Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Provide the best experience possible for Cohesity customers
  • Manage workload to ensure that all customer Cohesity DB related issues are resolved promptly
  • Perform in-depth root cause analysis and deploy code fixes and upgrades to resolve product defects/issues to customers.
  • Deep dive into analyzing, troubleshooting, and fixing functional and Performance issues, with rapid delivery of the solution.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge base articles.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Good understanding of Oracle/SQL concepts/features, especially in the backup & restore area.
  • Good understanding and experience using Oracle/SQL debugging techniques and utilities.
  • Ability to analyze system diagnostics and clearly articulate the issue for the customer.
  • Experience supporting storage, networking, and virtualization environments.
  • Solid understanding of Linux and administration experience across all working components

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of Storage, Filesystems, or Data Protection
  • Experience supporting distributed file system
  • Performance analysis experience
  • Experience with Oracle on Windows, AIX, and Solaris platforms
  • Ability to read code.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 7 years of work experience
  • Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages, Java and GoLang, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated to debug and solve complex problems and challenges.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering/Computer Science

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$164,000.00-$205,000.00
