We are seeking a highly motivated engineer for performing malware research and security
testing of our disconnected malware lab purpose built for security testing and research.
This role bridges adversary research, malware analysis, and security testing to produce high-
confidence, MITRE-mapped intelligence reports and alerting content that directly improves
customer and internal security posture. More information about our REDLab at:

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Detonate malware in the lab for the purpose of product security testing
Perform deep-dive research on active threat actors, ransomware groups, malware families, and exploitation campaigns
Analyze TTPs, infrastructure, toolchains, persistence, lateral movement, and exfiltration techniques
Track exploitation of CVEs, weaponized vulnerabilities, and cloud/identity attack paths
Create detailed malware research and security reports
Maintain lab infrastructure
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
2-4 Years of hands on experience.
System administration focused on security for Linux, Windows, VMware system
Mitre ATT&CK framework - TTPs and IOCs
Strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Experience in malware analysis, malware sandboxes, open-source intelligence
Ability to write clear, authoritative, decision-driving intelligence (data collection, analysis, validation, scoring
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and support high-quality decision-making.

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
