Aided by an extensive ecosystem of partners, Cohesity makes it easy to secure, protect, manage, and get value from data — across the data center, edge, and cloud. Cohesity helps organizations defend against cybersecurity threats with comprehensive data security and management capabilities, including immutable backup snapshots, AI-based threat detection, monitoring for malicious behavior, and rapid recovery at scale.

We’ve been named a Leader by multiple analyst firms and have been globally recognized for Innovation, Product Strength, and Simplicity in Design.

Join us on our mission to shape the future of our industry.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior community leader to own and transform how Cohesity builds and activates its practitioner community in the enterprise data security and management space. You will define the community strategy, build a world-class technology champions advocacy program, and drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.

This role is for someone who is already a recognized voice in the industry — a blogger, influencer, and practitioner with deep roots in the enterprise data security ecosystem and a proven track record of scaling communities that deliver real business outcomes.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

Build and Scale the Community Program

  • Own the end-to-end community strategy — growth, engagement, and advocacy — aligned to business needs across core geographies and key verticals.
  • Build and scale a structured technology champions program of advocates
  • Convert engaged customers and practitioners into active advocates driving peer influence, product feedback, and retention.

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Align with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to embed community insights into business decisions and connect the program to product launches and thought leadership moments.
  • Build feedback loops across Sales, Field, and Partner teams that tie community activity to pipeline and GRR impact.

Deploy AI to Power the Community

  • Design and build AI-powered bots and automation to enhance community experience.
  • Use AI tools to scale content production, personalize member experiences, and surface community insights that inform product and marketing decisions.
  • Stay current on emerging AI community tools and continuously explore new ways to automate engagement, reduce friction, and improve program efficiency.

Measure and Grow

  • Own measurable outcomes: community membership growth, engagement, customer retention (GRR), and advocacy program participation.
  • Use data to continuously improve program design, content strategy, and champion engagement — reporting with clarity to senior stakeholders.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Established influencer presence in enterprise data security and/or data management — with a strong portfolio of published thought leadership and a recognized following.
  • Proven track record as a voice and industry influencer — active at events, webinars, podcasts, and/or professional forums in the enterprise data security space.
  • Experience building and scaling advocacy or Champions programs with direct accountability to retention and engagement outcomes.
  • Strong cross-functional influence — able to align Product, Marketing, and Customer Success around a shared community strategy.
  • Deep subject matter knowledge in enterprise data security, data governance, or compliance.
  • Active relationships with practitioners, bloggers, podcast hosts, and community leaders in the enterprise data security ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying AI bots and automation within community platforms.

WE ARE EXTRA EXCITED IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Track record of standing up a new community program from scratch — membership model, engagement mechanics, and growth playbook.
  • Speaker, panelist, or contributor at major industry conferences in data security, data protection, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience using AI tools to scale content production, community engagement, or analytics workflows.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

·5+ years of experience in community management or developer relations
