About the role
Dremio is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You will own the maintenance and improvement of our forecast models and various performance dashboards. You will help enhance forecast reliability, reporting quality, and establish processes so the team can scale with the growing needs of the business. You will eventually be a trusted partner and advisor to several of our business units, delivering insights to drive efficient growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Work closely with the FP&A team to provide insightful analyses using Google Sheet/Excel and available data from various sources
- Participate in budget planning activities, including maintaining and updating budget models, tracking actual spending, and analyzing variances.
- Help FP&A lead consolidate data at month and quarter end and prepare executive-grade management reporting
- Assist the FP&A team in various ad-hoc financial analysis
- Support testing and implementation of financial tools
What we’re looking for
- BA/BS in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a comparable field
- 1-3 years of corporate finance, FP&A experiences; familiarity with the software industry (and SaaS) a plus
- Expert in building financial models independently using GoogleSheets/Excel; comfortable drawing business insights from large datasets
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to prioritize objectives to support a fast-moving and growing business
- Curious to learn and find solutions to problems independently
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Bonus points if you have
- Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Finance system experience such as NetSuite, Adaptive, or other FP&A software
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or basic SQL skills preferred
- MUST be able to overlap at a minimum 4 hours daily with US Pacific Time Zone Hours
