Impact

We are looking for a People Operations Manager who will drive the growth and development of core HR functions across the organization. This position will report to the US Head of People, and will be responsible for development, execution, and oversight over many HR functions including HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, policies, and more. We are looking for someone who is a systems thinker, excellent problem solver, strong communicator, with effective project management, prioritization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the US Head of People and the business to build and implement HR processes and workflows, ensuring thoughtful implementation and systemization. You will lead a diverse set of HR projects of varying degrees of complexity, impacting both team and company-wide operations. You will initiate, lead, and contribute to ambiguous projects collaborating with teammates and key stakeholders every step of the way.

  • Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of human resources functions, including payroll, benefits, HRIS, HR compliance, and operations; ensure execution of all HR-related initiatives
  • Partner with leaders to align HR deliverables with business strategy
  • Proactively lead optimization of various processes, bringing other stakeholders along with little oversight from leadership
  • Develop and administer various HR policies and procedures for all employees
  • Ensure compliance relating to employment matters, including but not limited to immigration activities, and implementing applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Support with employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Establish and maintain records, reports, personnel files, and databases accurately and effectively

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in HR Ops functions, with previous hands on experience in benefits, payroll, and / or HRIS systems administration
  • Experience with HRIS systems administration and reporting
  • Deep understanding of federal and state regulations, HR operations, and local/regional recruitment specifics
  • Knowledge of SOX, SOC2, and other applicable laws
  • Strong organization, problem solving, first principles thinking, communication skills, in addition to effective time management and attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel and google sheet functions and data reporting
  • You have an understanding of HR and employment laws and regulations, and a track record of developing HR policies and procedures.
  • You are resilient and you don’t let chaos or change get to you; you thrive in a fast paced environment.
