FloQast is looking for a creative, energetic and collaborative procurement leader to help build out our procurement processes. FloQast procurement partners with internal deal owners to secure all goods and services needed by FloQast. We apply policies that help mitigate risk while allowing for maximum value in our deals. From getting large projects approved and negotiating contracts, to tracking orders and payments, the procurement team helps internal deal owners navigate the journey.
As a Senior Procurement Manager for FloQast, reporting into the Controller, you will be asked to partner with internal stakeholders to research and buy software and products to meet our daily operational needs. This position will have responsibility ranging from daily tactical execution to supporting numerous strategic initiatives relative to vendor management, cost savings and process enhancements. Position will interact heavily with all departments across the company, especially compliance, legal, security and finance. With a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, this role will help lead the company forward by making suggestions to the procurement process, finding/validating/securing suppliers while ensuring cost, quality, and delivery on all purchased materials. This role will also consider usage of vendors across departments to support cost savings initiatives such as reduction in software redundancies and efficiencies in software/systems. We are looking for an astute, analytical, relationship builder who is an experienced negotiator and dealmaker.

Develop Procurement Strategies

  • Analyze the organization's procurement needs and establish strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine procurement requirements and specifications

Supplier Management and Negotiations

  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers based on their ability to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, including performance reviews and audits, to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions, and secure favorable pricing and service agreements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize service levels and resolve any issues that may arise

Procurement Process Optimization

  • Streamline procurement processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational standards
  • Monitor procurement activities, analyze data, and generate reports to track performance metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance

Purchase Order Management

  • Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Monitor and track order status, manage changes or cancellations, and expedite orders when necessary

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and supplier performance to proactively manage risks and anticipate changes
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned to help the company meet its goals

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in a similar role
  • 4+ years of experience owning a Procurement department and its functions
  • Proficient in using Coupa
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Solid knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, negotiation and industry trends
  • Experience with cloud service/SaaS agreements, and software licenses
  • Experience running competitive RFP and/or bid processes
  • Demonstrate ability to drive efficiency and think strategically with contract management systems and/or workflows
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset in a remote work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Have a solution-oriented approach with a focus on practical risk assessment
  • High level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
The base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary.
