The Director, HR Business Partner is the most senior HR Business Partner who will lead and coach a high-performing team of global HR Business Partners and Workplace Experience team members. This role will act as a strategic partner to Department and Function leadership teams, have a direct partnership with G&A leadership, and is responsible for the oversight of all global HR and office space matters. The key areas of focus will include performance management, organizational development, culture and leadership, HR programs, practices and efficiency, and office culture management. This position requires the ability to manage both strategic priorities and tactical execution and drive efficiencies and practices on a global scale for an international organization ensuring a balance of visionary forward-thinking practices with practical, day-to-day efficient operations within the HR organization.
FloQast has employees and offices in the USA, the UK, Germany, Australia, with an upcoming expansion to Japan.

Employment Law & Compliance

  • Serve as a senior advisor on global employment law matters, overseeing compliance with labor regulations across various countries. Develop and implement strategies to manage risks associated with employment practices. Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes impacting the workforce, and ensure that People programs, policies, procedures, and practices are updated accordingly.
  • Oversee and conduct complex investigations related to employee concerns and complaints handling each situation with the utmost integrity and brevity. Ensure all complaints and investigations are handled with care and respect.
  • Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to navigate complex employment issues, ensuring the organization's operations remain compliant and ethically sound across all jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with relevant international, federal, state, and local legal requirements by monitoring existing and new legislation. Ensure People-related compliance training is being delivered and deployed across the globe in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with the internal Legal and Compliance teams to ensure People programs and practices are adhering to relevant Legal and Compliance legislation.

Immigration, Visa Management & Global Mobility

  • Lead the company's immigration and visa strategy to support international assignments, employee mobility where appropriate, and global talent acquisition. Develop and execute a robust, efficient, and effective immigration and mobility program that enables FloQast to hire, retain, and develop great talent across all regions.
  • Work closely with legal counsel, immigration specialists, and HR teams to ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations in all countries where the company operates. Oversee the process of obtaining work permits, visas, and other necessary legal documentation for employees working internationally
  • Develop policies and procedures with the Talent Acquisition team to streamline the global mobility process, providing support and guidance to employees and managers.

Team Leadership & Business Partner

  • Manage a team of global HR Business Partners. Coach and develop them to be strong partners to their business leaders and cultivate their impact on the business units they serve. Inspire and lead your team to achieve excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Manage a team of global Workplace Experience members overseeing the management of our global office spaces to maintain a healthy, safe, engaged, and on-brand environment. Establish and manage a global framework and best practices for office management operations to support the hybrid and in-office experience and partner with Finance for facilities strategy.
  • Oversee HR operations in all global locations through the various People teams. Drive high levels of engagement for all regions by working with and through all People team functions.
  • Establish and manage a global framework and best practices for HR operations, practices, and service delivery. Provide strategic and operational leadership and guidance to the team for implementing and administering HR processes that serve our entire employee base.
  • Be the direct HR Business Partner for the global G&A groups cultivating a strong partnership with business leaders to provide support, insights, and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and Finance partners and collaborate with TA to manage and scale workforce planning.
  • Act as an exemplary role model for the team and the wider organization, lead from the front, and lead by example with impeccable standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Develop and enforce a positive, empowered, and accountable culture with shared priorities within the People team. Leverage HR subject matter expertise in the formulation, recommendation, and deployment of highly complex HR programs and policies that combine strategic sense with tactical execution.

Employee Performance, Experience, Engagement & Rewards

  • Oversee and lead the rollout of key and cyclical programs across supported business units, including, but not limited to, Performance and Talent Reviews, Compensation Reviews, Global Engagement Surveys, Best Place to Work Award Certifications, Succession Planning, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement programs and solutions that enhance the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. From workplace experience, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, surveys, and more you will foster an inclusive and engaging work environment that empowers employees and promotes accountability, performance, collaboration, diversity, and innovation. Develop programs that nurture and retain high-potential employees as well as identify and coach low-performing employees.
  • Forge a strong partnership with the Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition team to strategize on programs and practices that enable FloQast to remain competitive but fiscally responsible. Share insights and intel on in-country challenges to help shape and enhance the TR programs and practices to attract and retain top talent. Communicate our complex TR programs effectively to internal business leaders with the ability to navigate challenging conversations and get to successful outcomes.
  • Design, facilitate, and lead change management efforts and communication strategies related to the People team and other organization-wide initiatives.

People Analytics

  • Leverage data analytics to drive data-informed decision-making and enhance HR operations. Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports to provide valuable insights on key HR metrics, talent analytics, and workforce trends to enable strategic workforce planning. Use key people metrics to report on and measure performance to proactively highlight areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Use a data-driven approach to analyze trends, inform decisions, and implement actions to increase efficiency, productivity, and retention

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 8 years of global HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global HR functions.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) are a plus
  • Relevant experience in a high-growth global SaaS company is required
  • Extensive knowledge of global HR practices with an emphasis on employment law, and HR Business Partnership programs. Proven expertise in international labor standards, employment laws, and regulatory compliance, with a strong ability to translate legal requirements into effective HR practices
  • Expertise in US and UK employment law practices is key. Experience and/or comprehension in other EMEA and APAC employment law practices are a great nice to have.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with a proven successful track record of designing, developing, and aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to support operations and international expansion
  • Deep understanding of HR trends and global HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple regions
  • Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data to drive HR insights and decision-making.
  • High degree of proficiency with GSuite, Slack, and Zoom applications or other similar collaboration tools is a must.
  • Strong proficiency and experience with relevant HR Technology is a must, preferably UKG Pro, Lever, Lattice, Qualtrics, Globalization Partners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior and executive stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset, with a focus on finding scalable solutions, driving positive outcomes, and doing what is best for the business
  • Commitment to upholding exceptional ethical principles and integrity in all HR practices
  • Agility to work swiftly within tight time constraints and adapt to changing priorities while remaining calm under the pressure of multiple competing projects and demands

The base pay range for this position is $175,000 - $215,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, Unlimited Vacation, and participation in our Employee Stock Program.
