Account Manager USA

Our ideal candidate will be East Coast based though the Central time zone may be considered with all the relevant cybersecurity experience.

GitGuardian is a global post series B ($56M) cybersecurity startup, with American and European investors including top-tier VC firms.

Among our early investors who saw our market value proposition, are the co-founder of GitHub, Scott Chacon, along with Docker co-founder / CTO Solomon Hykes 👀.

We develop a source code security platform for the DevOps generation. Our solutions are already used by more than 400K developers across the world!

We’re looking for a sharp and consultative Account Manager to be a part of our client journey. You will work closely with your teams across the US and France (Account Executives, Customer Success Managers & Sales Engineers).

Your Mission

  • Field all expansion opportunities and renewal processes for your portfolio, working closely with your partners on the CSM team to understand potential new value areas.
  • Present and sell our products and services to your accounts, including facilitating demos and running presentations to C-level executives.
  • Leverage our Marketing efforts to create a compelling value proposition with insights into how your respective accounts can maximize their relationship with GitGuardian.
  • Collaborate with AEs, Channel and Sales leaders to strategize on your sales approach.
  • Update and maintain client activity details in our CRM for accurate forecasting and leadership’s visibility.
  • You’ll maintain a deep understanding of our competitive landscape and your customer’s needs.
  • Occasional travel to (key) client accounts and some external events as appropriate (anticipate approximately 10-15% travel)
  • Able to deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts and management reporting using Hubspot, Tableau as well as Gong, Apollo.io (preferable not mandatory).

    Your success is tied to our customers’ success. We don’t see Account Managers as people who just show up before the contract ends. By helping customers achieve their desired outcomes and being present over time, renewals / upsells / cross-sells will naturally follow. You see each interaction with your customers as an opportunity to help them, gain their trust and understand their needs.

    Role Requirements

    • You are familiar with the DevSecOps ecosystem (a previous experience in cybersecurity or even DevSecOps is desired).
    • You have a minimum of 2+ years experience with complex Enterprise customers.
    • You have a minimum of 4+ years experience as an Account Executive or Account Manager Prior experience managing longer sales cycles (3-6+ months) is preferable
    • Soft skills needed include: demonstrated communication and presentation skills, ability to generate trust and build long-lasting relationships, project management skills to facilitate collaboration and information gathering from many different interlocutors both internally and externally.

      4. Final interview with the CEO
