Field Marketing Manager - EMEA (Germany Focus)

About GitGuardian

GitGuardian is a global cybersecurity scale-up. The company is based in Paris, New-York City, Boston.

Among our early investors who saw our market value proposition, are the co-founder of GitHub, Scott Chacon, along with Solomon Hykes, Docker's co-founder. American and European top-tier VC firms have also invested in GitGuardian.

GitGuardian leads the way in Non-Human Identity security, offering end-to-end solutions from secrets detection in code, productivity tools and environments to strong remediation, observability and proactive prevention of leaks. Our solutions are already used by more than 600K developers worldwide!

About your team and your mission

Field marketing drives growth at GitGuardian. Events remain one of our top pipeline contributors, connecting us directly with enterprise cybersecurity leaders and developers across Europe.

As we scale our European presence—particularly in Germany—we need a Field Marketing Manager who can own our event strategy in the DACH region while supporting broader European initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Field Marketing, Jérémy, you'll work closely with Sales, BDR, and the Marketing team to design, execute, and optimize field marketing programs from events and ABM campaigns to regional initiatives that drive qualified pipeline and strengthen GitGuardian's presence in the European market.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Own your region marketing plan: propose the best marketing mix for the region (DACH, UK+Nordics ), make recommandations in terms of localization needs, source local vendors.

  • Plan and execute GitGuardian events strategy in the region. Design memorable event experiences that differentiate GitGuardian from competitors

  • Measure campaign efficiency and optimise to drive pipeline generation

  • Manage the marketing budget for the region

  • Align with local sales and BDR teams. Coach them on best approaches depending on tactics

  • Adapt GitGuardian's messaging and positioning for German-speaking audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and resonance in the DACH market

About you

If you think you match at least 70% of these criteria, please apply!

Here's what we consider essential for success in this role:

  • Business-level fluency in German (C2)

  • Organizational skills & attention to detail: You can manage 3-5 events and other tactics simultaneously at different stages, prioritize effectively, and handle last-minute crises without breaking a sweat

  • Pipeline generation mindset: Strong understanding of B2B demand generation metrics (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, ROI) and experience working closely with Sales teams to define event success criteria and ensure proper lead follow-up

  • Experience in DACH markets: 1-2 years working in or marketing to DACH regions, with understanding of local business culture differences (formal vs. informal communication, decision-making processes, relationship-building approaches). Familiarity with key cybersecurity events in this region is a plus

  • Local marketing plan building experience combining different tactics to meet the objectives, working in collaboration with centralized resources such as SEA and SMA managers

  • Creativity & Memorable Experience Design: Demonstrated ability to create memorable, differentiated event or campaign experiences. You have examples of creative activations, unique formats, or innovative approaches to stand out

  • Sales Coaching & Event Performance Management: Experience coaching BDRs and sales reps on event best practices. Ability to observe performance during events and provide constructive feedback on booth engagement, lead qualification, and on-site sales behavior

  • You're comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day work: whether that's Claude, Gemini, or other LLMs to move faster, write sharper, and automate repetitive tasks. Bonus if you've experimented with agents or built simple workflows that remove friction from your process

The following skills would strengthen your application but aren't required:

  • Cybersecurity industry knowledge: Basic understanding of the cybersecurity landscape (key players, common challenges, major conferences like RSA, BlackHat, FIC), genuine curiosity about the space, and ability to understand and discuss GitGuardian's value proposition

  • Design skills: Working knowledge of Figma, Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop, with experience briefing design teams and managing vendors for print/goodies production

  • Marketing automation tools: Working knowledge of platforms like HubSpot, Customer.io, or Salesforce for event lead management, promotion, and nurturing. Comfortable with Google Sheets/Excel and project management tools (Notion, Asana). Bonus: familiarity with workflow automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make, Clay, Claude Cowork)

  • French: Fluency in French is a bonus to work at our Paris office
