About the role:
We are looking for an experienced corporate paralegal to join as an early member of Kong’s legal team. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing company with global operations and customers that include many of the world’s biggest brands in financial services, technology, e-commerce and other industries. In this role, you will assist Kong’s VP Legal and other members of Kong’s legal team with global corporate maintenance, day-to-day agreements, stock administration, and legal human resources matters. You will also help develop and maintain scalable, global processes. You will report to Kong’s VP Legal based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities:
- Subsidiary administration and employee equity administration and communications
- Under the supervision of Kong’s attorneys, review, draft and negotiate day-to-day agreements such as NDAs and in-bound consulting agreements
- Communicate and help train internal clients on company and legal department policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Kong Legal team with Kong’s Procurement and IT functions, and administer Legal department tools such as DocuSign
- Under the supervision of Kong’s attorneys, support Kong’s global People team with day-to-day matters
- Identify and help design and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity and communication
- Special projects as requested
- And any additional tasks required by manager
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a corporate paralegal with both law firm and late-stage private and/or early-stage public technology companies
- Demonstrated experience in supporting a company with global operations and subsidiaries across all major geographies
- An ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- Sense of humor and persistence
- High professional and personal standards, and a commitment to inclusiveness
Location:
- San Francisco Bay Area
Kong has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to specific candidate location, role, skill set and level of experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards including sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role. Benefits may vary depending on location. US based employees are typically offered access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short and long term disability benefits, basic life and AD&D insurance, among others. The typical base pay range for this role in the US is $111,000 - $140,000.
