About the role:
We are looking for a Commissions Analyst based in Pune, India.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Use the validated monthly sales data to compute commission payout for each employee tagged to earn commissions per deal.
- Maintain approximately 10 different sales compensation models in Spiff, including maintenance/upkeep of logic, formulas, calculations, and data integration with Salesforce (using connectors).
- Collaborate closely with RevOps team to obtain timely and accurate sales achievement data for the various geographies every month. Review and analyze data for consistency and accuracy, both from the Customer account perspective, as well as from an internal commissionable employee(s) perspective.
- Prepare monthly commission earnings reports and associated analytics to assist management in attainment reviews. Also, prepare quarterly attainment reports for management.
- Address questions from the field regarding commission calculations and their accuracy or completeness.
- Over time, become very comfortable and conversant with the different incentive plan designs for the various field teams.
- Work with the finance and accounting team(s) to develop new or modified commission plans, including annual and/or half-yearly plan designs or re-designs.
- Track historical achievements at the payee level and assist with analytics required during the sales incentive planning processes.
- Assist with the calculation of month-end commission accruals (in lieu of actual payout calculations).
- Fulfil ad hoc financial or sales-related analyses as needed.
- Leverage systems such as Spiff by Salesforce, and Excel to accomplish day-to-day work objectives.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with, and manipulate, large data sets.
- High level of proficiency in using Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, IF/THEN statements, and other logic formulations within Excel.
- A beginner-level understanding of basic accounting principles such as debits, credits, accruals, payables, expenses. would be an added plus.
- Knowledge of tools such as Spiff, Salesforce, Xactly, CaptivateIQ and NetSuite
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting.
- 5 years of prior work experience in the area of sales compensation administration.
