Kong is seeking a Regional Sales Director to help us build and grow the Kong API platform and our Strategic Sales Team in India. We are seeking a leader to guide our Account Executives and drive business results and revenue. This senior leadership position will have ownership and accountability to ensure Kong maximises our market potential, bringing in new customers as well as growing our existing clients.
This leader will work closely with our other senior leaders to ensure that decisions drive the overall Kong business goals and our long-term vision continues to thrive. You will play a part in reshaping and leading the incredible growth of Kong. It is the intention of the leadership team to build a high-quality, sustainable and strong sales organisation. To date, a significant amount of Kong’s success has been gained through the quality of our product, our global account base, our adoption by the open source community and by inbound leads.
You will build and strengthen a quality, scalable, regional sales team focused on the acquisition of new brands and targeted account plans. Kong is the perfect environment for you to have a significant impact and grow our amazing company.
This role is based in Bangalore or Mumbai.
What You’ll Be Doing
Growing Kong’s presence and footprint in Strategic accounts in India.
Driving a highly performant and highly accountable culture to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Attract, hire and retain top talent through your network and in collaboration with the rest of the organisation.
Provide strong coaching and mentorship on the sales process, pipeline generation, qualification and closing.
Conduct weekly forecast meetings with your team and report to leadership.
Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Partners, Sales Development and all stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
You have been a top performer as an individual contributor and front-line manager with a track record of overachievement.
Accurate forecasting at the individual and team levels.
Ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
Strong territory management at a regional level.
Proven systems/methodology for consistent pipeline generation.
Experience using and teaching sales methodologies.
Energy, passion, and rigour in your career as a Sales leader.
