1. Responsibilities
- Has an absolute passion for the support and well being of every single patient and site staff in every trial Medable supports
- Proactively updates and is familiar with Medable’s shipping database by country, including all specific country customs requirements for the various products Medable ships
- Monitors all new business opportunities to ensure all country requirements can be supported
- Develops necessary pro forma and commercial invoices and supply all needed documentation as it relates to Import Licenses and Importers of Record
- Provides subject matter expertise to Medable’s customers as we assist them in the development of international shipping plans
- Monitors international shipments in real time and interject to resolve exceptions and issues, keeping in real time communication with brokers and couriers
- Develops a method to keep customers, both internal and external, informed in real time of shipping statuses
- Supports high visibility clients with the goal of delivering the highest quality, cutting edge service in the industry
- Establishes clear hand off points with vendors that service Medable’s needs
- Implements and monitors KPIs that measure and track success of Medable and its partners
- Develops and maintains strong internal and external customer relationships
- Effectively uses Medable's software and other systems and solutions required to support customers and projects
- Measures performance and manage results of service level agreement thresholds while resolving escalations in rapid fashion
- Assists in the development of a delivery process that has a 98% or greater on time and accurate shipment rate
- Has in-depth understanding and knowledge of Medable's product
- Ensures audit readiness and educate customers on the capabilities of the department
- Proactively identifies and addresses issues or risks
- Other duties as assigned
2. Experience
- Experience with Salesforce,Trabex or other similar helpdesk software
- 2+ years in international distribution operations or a combination of education and experience
- 1+ years experience working in the clinical trial industry (preferred)
- Experience with clinical trial management (preferred)
3. Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership including communication with C-level executives
- Excellent communicator both orally and in writing
- Deep knowledge of logistics practices
- High technical aptitude
- Team player, team leader
4. Education, Certifications, Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business related field (preferred)
- International Air Transportation Authority Certification (IATA/FIATA) (preferred)
