Senior Sourcer - Product & Design
Mercury
Mercury is building financial products to help startups and small businesses scale. Turns out this requires a lot of talented people - especially in Product and Design - so we’re looking to add a Senior Sourcer to our recruiting team!
You’ll play a critical role in hiring great Product and Design talent by building a strong pipeline for the highest priority roles across those organizations.
Here are some things you’ll do on the job:
- Develop a deep understanding of Mercury’s values, brand, and products
- Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers and interviewers across the business to help build high-performing, diverse teams
- Make a friendly first impression on candidates and (no pressure) act as the living embodiment of our cultural values
- Manage the top funnel of the recruiting pipeline from initial outreach to their first interviews, with an emphasis on engaging passive candidates
- Screen candidates with a keen eye for alignment with our open roles and Mercury values
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Experiment with creative ways of sourcing and analyze their effectiveness.
- Actively think of ways to improve and scale sourcing processes
- Stay informed about industry trends, and act as a subject matter expert for the wider team
You should:
- Have 5+ years of technical recruiting and sourcing experience in either Design or Product
- See yourself as an expert sourcer and enjoy seeking out passive talent
- Be open to working on roles outside of Product and Design as needed
- Be comfortable taking initial calls with candidates
- Have an almost psychic level of empathy and intuition
- Communicate with clarity, thought, and precision
- Enjoy building diverse, inclusive, and high-performing teams
- Like working in a fast-paced environment
- Have experience working at a high-growth tech startup
- Have a genuine passion for sourcing and everything that comes with it
