The PR Director will lead and execute a global PR and content strategy for OpenX. This role will report to the Vice President of Marketing and will be responsible for writing and managing all day-to-day PR activities including press releases, press communications, by-lines, and blog content. This role will also be responsible for overseeing external PR agency relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a 360-degree communications program including all press, blog posts, and by-lines
  • Oversee and direct our international PR agency to ensure they are effectively executing PR strategy and delivering on key KPIs
  • Lead and execute all executive interviews with key members of the press and provide prep and briefing strategy
  • Write and execute press releases, blog content, by-lines and other key thought leadership communications and content
  • Project manage the communications and content calendar

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in a strategic communications role at an adTech company, publisher, or agency
  • Bachelor’s Degree (major in Journalism and/or Communications preferred)
  • Self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Have experience using Cision or a similar platform
  • Experience with project management tools e.g. Asana, Monday, etc.

  • An expert in advertising and have deep connections across Digiday, AdWeek, AdExchanger, MediaPost, etc.
  • An effective communicator — excellent copywriting and grammar skills
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and has excellent project management skills
