Product managers are often called the “CEOs of their product,” which means they have to think about the health of the product across all areas ranging from long-term strategy to customer engagement to product definition to coordinating launches. If this kind of challenging holistic program ownership combined with hands-on executional work is appealing to you, you might be a good product manager.
We are open to accepting both students and established career professionals as interns. Many people find Product Management as a career after exploring other career paths.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on customer research and tracking, aimed at gaining insight into how customers use our reporting products and how we can enhance them.
  • Utilize a mix of database usage analysis and primary research involving customers and client-facing teams to create a list of prioritized product features for development.
  • Assist Product and Engineering managers with product definition and planning, as well as work with developers/quality assurance teams during implementation.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in a product management role, designing, building and launching products with real business impact.
  • Be intellectually curious. There is no one-size-fits-all description for a successful product manager, but if you aren’t intellectually curious, you won’t be able to understand your product end-to-end.
  • Be a self starter and be willing to get your hands dirty, learn as much as possible, and do whatever it takes to move a project forward.
  • Have data analysis skills, with bonus points for SQL knowledge
  • Be familiar with qualitative and quantitative research skills
  • Have large group and executive presentation & communication skills
  • Have Experience in Agile or SDLC

  • Evidence of a project you participated in or led (e.g., a website, an app, a research project)
