The temporary IT Operations Specialist II will provide technical assistance and support for incoming service requests/incidents on hardware, software or other computer systems, perform troubleshooting through diagnostic tests and remote access to user computers, support access control needs, support the deployment of new user assets and support our new hire orientation process.
This is a temporary, 10-week project (Sept-Nov) non-exempt position reporting to the Director, IT and is hybrid, requiring flexibility for in-office on agreed days or on-call basis Monday through Friday at our Pasadena, CA location.

Responsibilities

  • Triage all IT related questions as they arise
  • Build a knowledge base of IT practices and pragmatic problem solving in the handbook
  • Account management for password resets and lockout
  • On call support for immediate software and hardware issues during local business hours
  • Diagnose computer errors and provide technical support
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware
  • Asset lifecycle management
  • Support Weekly IT Onboarding Sessions for new Team Members
  • Train end-users how to setup and use new technologies
  • Provide technical support in-person or over chat, phone or video
  • 80% is Performing helpdesk at levels 1, 2 and 3
  • 20% Participation in project related tasks

Requirements

  • 2-years experience with Google Workspace, Okta and MS365 user lifecycle administration
  • 1-year MDM experience, preferably both Jamf and InTune
  • 1-year experience using Atlassian Jira SD and Confluence
  • Some experience with Automation tools & basic Scripting for Windows and Mac environment
  • 4-years Hands-on experience supporting MacOS and Windows
  • Ability to configure, build, test and deploy endpoints with limited supervision
  • Tolerance for repetitive or manual tasks, with a mind for automating said tasks
