About the Team
We are responsible for creating and evolving the best-in-class developer ecosystem of Outreach. We make sure partner and customer developers have wide integration capabilities for creating compelling integrations which improve rep and manager workflows to help them to deliver better business outcomes. That in turn drives adoption and stickiness of Outreach platform among new and existing customers and brings new monetization opportunities into the Outreach business model. We achieve this by:
- Building robust and performant infrastructure that powers public APIs, webhooks, dev ecosystem experiences, OAuth apps management and many more
- Ensuring Outreach is performant, reliable, scalable and consistent platform
The Role
We are expanding an existing team and we are looking for additional experienced back-end software engineers to join us, who can deep-dive on challenging technical problems, build scalable solutions and identify performance bottlenecks, iterate quickly and deliver incremental value and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Your engagement would usually start with requirements clarification with the product manager, engineering manager or our partners. You will have the opportunity to put the best of your ideas to the design and prove your coding skills in actual implementation. We primarily use micro services written in GO on the back-end. However, we have bits and pieces of legacy code in Ruby on Rails and rarely you might also encounter TypeScript. We have data stores built on PostgreSQL. We are transitioning our data loading layer to use GraphQL. But it does not end with coding! Testing, deployments and production support are vital parts of our devops lives too.
Location
While we are remote-friendly, we remain an "office-centric" company. People are coming to the office at least twice a week, usually more often.
Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Cutting edge services and tools for orchestration, automation and diagnostics such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Honeycomb for tracing and Datadog for metrics and structured log processing
- Identifying the critical details and prioritise incremental delivery
- Designing and delivering great solutions with deep focus on scalability and performance
- Responding to changing requirements efficiently and responsibly
- Helping us build customer trust by keeping the quality bar high and delivering well tested code
- Breaking-down existing systems using a SOA approach
- Owning features all the way through
- Going above and beyond to help your team
Our Vision of You
- Experience with hands-on coding and software design experience building robust and scalable software
- Experience with GraphQL, Go or Ruby on Rails is an obvious benefit
- Knowledge and passion for distributed systems and data intensive applications
- Deep interest in learning new technologies and finding the right tool for the job
