As a Security Engineer, you'll play a vital role in protecting Paradox’s cloud environment, products, and client information. Work closely with the VP of Data Security and Privacy to help protect our data, systems, and networks from cyber threats and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and remediating security issues and other risks to Paradox’s technology infrastructure. In this role, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day monitoring and remediation support of all security threats and vulnerabilities across AWS Cloud servers, server-based applications, and overall IT infrastructure
  • Cross-functionally collaborate to drive performance efficiencies while completing security, IT and risk projects
  • Develop custom reporting to track security and risks across the organization using AWS Guard, Lacework, Tenable, JIRA, StrongDM, Github, and other tools
  • In collaboration with engineering, oversee the execution of Veracode scans (Dynamic and Static Testing), including the remediation of identified issues
  • Act as the primary "Change Agent" to support engineering and DevOps in architecture security enhancements across our infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS, Containerization)
  • Support the security and IT team in maintaining security compliance with ISO 27001, Soc 2, and other maturity standards
  • Develop application and system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts (Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub Actions)

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-time experience as a security engineer or similar InfoSec roles
  • 3+ years of experience supporting AWS environments
  • Demonstrated experience in security vulnerability testing, penetration testing, detection, threat replication, root cause analysis, and remediation
  • Experience using and administering security cloud platforms such as Lacework, Tenable, JIRA, StrongDM, Github, and other tools
  • Familiarity with security standards such as ISO, NIST, OWASP, and SDLC
  • Comfortable supporting security operations for 24/7 internet-oriented production environments and troubleshooting across a networked tech stack
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure, with a focus on security
  • Possess exceptional ability to effectively communicate software development and implementation concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Foundational knowledge of Python and JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • Comfortable working remotely with a cross-functional team across different time zones
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • CISSP or CISSM certification is nice to have, but not required
