We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in orchestrating the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our data architecture.

Data Strategy

Additionally, you will be responsible for driving enterprise data management initiatives, implementing robust data governance frameworks, and ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
Data Strategy
As a Data Architect, your responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Paradox to understand business requirements, data needs, and strategic goals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with Paradox's objectives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the existing data landscape, including data sources, data quality, and data governance practices.
- Identify and assess opportunities for data-driven improvement across various business units.
- Develop data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable, secure, and reliable data architecture that supports Paradox's needs.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate data platforms, technologies, and tools based on Paradox's needs.
- Design and implement data pipelines and data lakes.
- Lead the design and implementation of data warehouses and data hubs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure integration of data architecture with existing systems and applications.
- Create and maintain reference and solution architecture blueprints, data models, and information flow diagrams.
- Implement standard processes for data modeling and database design.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Implement data quality management processes to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Design and implement data security and access controls.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to define data requirements and specifications.
- Develop and implement data documentation and metadata standards.
- Implement and support data frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and data privacy laws.
- Develop and implement data lineage tracking and reporting processes.
- Foster a collaborative data culture within Paradox.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Present data architecture proposals and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the data architecture landscape.
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Architect or a similar role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing data architectures for complex B2B SaaS organizations.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database management systems.
- Knowledgeable on big data and NoSQL databases.
- Proven expertise in formulating and implementing robust data frameworks, tools, and processes. This includes data cataloging, data classifications, data quality, lineage, security, privacy, compliance, and more.
- Strong expertise in data modeling principles, methodologies, and tools.
- In-depth understanding of data governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with various data platforms and technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT tools).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent English skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Master's degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, or related field highly preferred.
