Team Description

Pendo is looking for a Director, Account Management.

As Director, you will be responsible for running a team of Account Managers. As the front line leader of the team, you are responsible for the collective revenue target of the team. You will hire, grow, and develop AM talent, assist with contract and pricing negotiations, and represent Pendo in executive presentations. You will be responsible for accurately forecasting for the team, to be delivered weekly to the AVP of Account Management, which will then be delivered to the SVP of Global Commercial Sales. As Director, you are accountable for creating and executing a plan to hit your revenue goals. With the full support of the company, you are expected to consistently deliver on your revenue goals. You will be surrounded by a world-class team from whom you will learn; our ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective from which the existing team can learn. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about building and developing world-class sales teams and who embody our Core Values.

Role Responsibilities

  • Project and forecast bookings for your team
  • Build and execute strategic plan for your team
  • Train and grow talent to advance in their careers
  • Learn and demonstrate the Pendo platform to existing customers
  • Exhibit & reinforce the core values of Pendo and the sales team
  • Coach new sales reps in all aspects of the sales process (disco, demo, trial, pricing, etc)
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring
  • Successfully utilize and train on sales tech tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior Sales management and leadership experience
  • Consistent track record of hitting goal and numbers
  • Passion for leading and developing others
  • Possess a solid understanding of SaaS metrics
  • Previously owned and forecasted a number
  • Managed sales teams in size from 5 to 10 people
  • Willingness to learn in a high paced sales environment
  • Ability to embrace feedback and hold yourself accountable
  • The ability to learn technology basics and apply them to business situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or Product Management background
  • Entrepreneurial background

Compensation

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in the United States is $235,000-$290,000 (OTE with 50/50 split)

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
