About the Team:

The Marketing team is responsible for creating and capturing demand for StarTree and Apache Pinot. The global team is fast-paced, high-velocity, and partners closely with the revenue, product, and developer relations teams. The focus is always on creating engaging educational experiences & content to build StarTree (and Pinot) awareness, and growing StarTree via supporting sales-led pipeline creation and free trial Product-led growth (PLG) revenue.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team at StarTree. The candidate will be responsible for executing field marketing strategies (field events, digital campaigns, and account-based marketing), generating and accelerating opportunities with Account Executives. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute field marketing plans aligned with StarTree’s overall marketing and sales strategies for its products and services.

- Monitor lead flow to ensure timely follow-up on field marketing activities.

- Manage, attend and oversee relevant trade shows and events, ensuring comprehensive follow-up.

- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure the successful execution of marketing events, print projects, swag, etc.

- Efficiently manage the field marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and maximizing return on investment.

- Drive lead generation efforts through field marketing activities including physical mailing account-based marketing campaigns.

- Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM software.

- Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

- 2-5 years of experience in field marketing, event planning, or a similar role; preferably at a startup.

- Ability to work from our Mountain View office at least 3 times per week.

- A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building and maintaining relationships with trade partners.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.

The base salary range for this US full-time position is $85,000 - $120,000, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. Additionally, new hires receive competitive and compelling equity grants, and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for candidates. The Salary and Equity compensation offered may vary depending on factors including: location, skills, experience, and the assessment process.
