The Distribution Operations Specialist has experience with 3PL, distribution, warehousing and order fulfillment and relies on data-driven decision making. The Distribution Operations Specialist is accountable for all the communication between Sword Health and the 3PL in order to ensure coordination and supervision of work orders and warehousing operations. The Distribution Operations Specialist will ensure the 3PL operations occur in a smooth, timely and cost-effective manner and guarantee the compliance with all company guidelines, policies, and regulations.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for coordination and supervision of the day to day 3PL operations;
- Improve and maintain the business partnership with the 3PL;
- Developing and maintaining carrier delivery metrics and freight reporting to measure carrier service performance and monthly freight spend.
- Monitor daily delivery report alerts to carriers to ensure shipments are on track to meet expected delivery dates for inbound and outbound shipments;
- Contact carriers to resolve any red flag shipments and be able to quantify and qualify issues to address it to upper management;
- Responsible for logging and following up with carriers for damaged and lost product claims to ensure reimbursements;
- Maintain monthly freight reporting and conduct freight bill audits to measure freight spend by carrier and service level;
- Track and maintain monthly delivery reports for on time and complete (OT&C) shipments activity to measure carrier performance;
- Follow up on projects and assigned tasks and report back to upper management.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Based in Salt Lake City or close by.
- Experience with international logistics
- Knowledge of logistics operations
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
- Computer programs: Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Capacity and desire to master other Company tools such as Oracle/Net-Suite, Looker, Other WMS tools, etc.
We'd love to see:
- Experience managing a high-volume, high margin, high customer service distribution environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Experience with international logistics
- Spanish Speaking
- Knowledge of logistics operations in US and China
