Introduction:
The Senior Logistics Specialist has experience with distribution, warehousing, and order fulfillment and relies on data-driven decision-making. The Senior Logistics Specialist is accountable for communicating between Sword Health and the carriers to ensure the order fulfillment process is carried out. The Senior Logistics Specialist will ensure the distribution operations occur in a smooth, timely, and cost-effective manner and guarantee compliance with all company guidelines, policies, and regulations.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for the order fulfillment and distribution operations of the day-to-day operations.
- Manage logistics operations and stakeholders such as freight forwarders and couriers.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate with carriers, warehouse providers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and conditions for Sword.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues.
- Monitor daily delivery report alerts to carriers to ensure shipments are on track to meet expected delivery dates for inbound and outbound shipments;
- Contact carriers to resolve any red flag shipments and be able to quantify and qualify issues to address them to upper management;
- Responsible for logging and following up with carriers for damaged and lost product claims to ensure reimbursements
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
What you need to have:
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics and in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to interpret and communicate clearly in English.
- Based in Porto Metropolitan Area or close by.
- Experience with order fulfillment and international logistics.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
- Computer programs: Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Capacity and desire to master other Company tools such as Oracle/Net-Suite, Looker, Other WMS tools, etc.
