As a Junior Accountant your primary responsibility will be to support the mid-level accounting management to ensure that the daily tasks are up-to-date, updating general ledgers, documentation keeping, supporting reconciliations (including banks, accounts payable and accounts receivable).
What you'll be doing:

- Analytics:
Integrate AP Invoices, confirming that are accordingly with the budget expectations and accounting policies
Support Bank Posting and Reconciliation
Support Revenue Accounting
Support Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Review if all AP documents booked in Portugal are saved in physical folders
Responsible for keeping all the statutory documentation is saved physically and virtually
Document the accounting team processes
Identify discrepancies and work with AP to solve them
Aging analysis
Support reconciliation of open items with the operations team
Supports getting information to build ad-hoc reports
What you need to have:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any related field
- Knowledge of SNC (Sistema de Normalização Contabilística)
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
- Fluent in Portuguese (written & spoken)
