We, at ThoughtSpot, are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow the SpotIQ team based out of Trivandrum.
SpotIQ is an AI-driven analytics engine that uses supervised machine learning to automatically generate personalized insights. Using the power of AI, SpotIQ automatically uncovers personalized insights and delivers them to users in seconds!
You will be a hands-on technical leader responsible to build, scale, and manage the feature to make analytics entirely effortless to understand for end-users. You will have the opportunity to build features to deliver automated insights, powered by artificial intelligence in our next-generation analytics platform, to help millions of business-people make smarter decisions.

What you'll do:
Drive the quality and stability of the product by getting hands-on as required with code, design and test plan reviews, and debugging distributed systems issues
Build a culture of operational excellence with a focus on observability, performance, scalability, cloud cost and security
Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams of designers, engineers, product managers, SREs, customer success executives
Manage and mentor backend engineers to be more effective at their work and grow their careers
What you bring (One or more of the experiences below and an insatiable desire to build and scale globally):
10+ years of experience with at least 2+ years of experience in people management and 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development
Extensive experience in designing and implementing high-performance distributed systems and real-time systems of data processing
Experience with setting high standards of software quality, operational excellence and customer centricity
Experience in programming languages C++, Java, Python, or Go
Previous experience with AI/ML technologies: recommendations systems, natural language processing (NLP), predictive modeling of time series or multi-dimensional data or signal processing
Experience in building and deploying AI/ML models in the cloud, is a plus
Experience working with geographically distributed teams and infrastructure, preferably in a high release velocity/startup environment, is a plus
