Hi! 👋 I’m Kasi, Director of Marketing and Communications here at WeTravel, living in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦.
I'm looking for a Creative Lead who's as bold as our mission.
I was one of WeTravel's first marketers four+ years ago, and watching our team explode from just me to nearly 10 talented humans across events, digital, demand gen, and everything in between has been wild. Our campaigns reach every continent. Our platform is literally reshaping how group travel operators run their businesses.
Now here's the thing: all that growth? It shows up visually through your work. You'd be the creative force behind every asset we push into the world — from webinar landing pages that actually make people want to attend, to campaigns that stop the scroll, to brand moments that make our audience go "wait, WeTravel does what?"
If you're the person who gets energized by seeing your creative work drive real business outcomes, loves collaborating with hungry marketers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where your ideas actually ship — let's talk.
How We Work
As WeTravel's Creative Lead, the successful candidate will own the brand's visual identity, bringing a cohesive vision to all still-image and video designs that represent the brand in public channels. The Creative Lead will have a strong understanding of visual identity, a firm grasp on WeTravel's brand and the ability to connect and manage all graphics to meet the brand's visual identity.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Creative Lead will manage the daily workflow of visual brand tasks–moving from brief to conception to execution–and ensure top-quality outputs to best represent the business in all visual materials.
The candidate has the incredible opportunity to elevate WeTravel's public brand to better attract and convert sales leads from multiple sources, including event and sales materials, social media graphics, landing page design and email/newsletter templates. They will have a strong understanding of AI tools and generative workflows that increase efficiency and brand cohesion across all channels—while maintaining ownership of quality control and brand consistency. They will understand how to measure visual effectiveness through target metrics and OKRs, and own accountability for design performance against business goals.
On a Weekly Basis You Will Find Yourself
Owning WeTravel's still-image visual identity–across all public-facing materials–to appropriately showcase the brand to external stakeholders
Owning WeTravel's video identity across all commercial channels, including YouTube, paid ads, email and short-form social platforms (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
Owning the visual presence of WeTravel at more than 50 global conferences, understanding brand identity adaptation based on sub-segment and location variances, including cultural localization
Overseeing the creation of all still-image graphic designs for various mediums, including event and sales materials, print/digital advertisements, infographics, newsletters/email templates, social media organic ads, marketing collateral, and landing pages
Managing the daily workflow and project management of all graphic design tasks–specifically through Monday.com—with precision and attention to detail
Providing strategic direction on WeTravel's brand identity, including managing and updating the visual identity document and maintaining design systems/component libraries for scalability
Integrating AI design tools into creative workflows to increase efficiency and enable rapid prototyping and variation testing—including prompt engineering, generative asset creation at scale, and quality control of AI-assisted outputs
Leading design performance analytics: own reporting on visual effectiveness (CTR, engagement rates, conversion by design element) and iterate based on data-driven insights
Managing cross-functional workflow efficiency with copywriting, marketing, and product teams to ensure streamlined design sprints and approval processes that don't bottleneck campaigns
Overseeing the creation of motion graphics and video editing for short-form content, ensuring consistency with brand identity across all video mediums
The Requirements
8+ years of experience with managing graphic design and videography, including brand strategy and visual identity
Proven ability to integrate AI tools (Midjourney, Claude, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Gamma, HeyGen, and generative design platforms) strategically into design workflows while maintaining brand consistency and ownership of quality control
Expertise in prompt engineering and iterating generative outputs to achieve on-brand results
Experience managing tasks from multiple departments, specifically through management tools like Monday.com or Asana
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks to best meet business goals, with real examples of reworking schedules to meet the most-pressing demands
Strong understanding of brand identity and how it works with other brand departments (predominantly copywriting) to present to the public a strong, unified identity that attracts and converts leads
Experience building and designing landing pages in HubSpot and using tools like Figma to pull, design, and organize product images and design systems
Experience with motion graphics and short-form video editing (vertical video, quick-cut editing, animation)
Strong communication skills, with oral and written English fluency
Bonus if you have
Previous experience with managing a design team, specifically a junior designer or freelance creative contributors
Specific travel AND/OR fintech AND/OR SaaS AND/OR B2B design experience
Experience curating and integrating user-generated content into marketing campaigns
