About The Job
We seek a Legal Associate to join our legal department. You will be responsible for maintaining customer and vendor contracts databases, facilitating legal review of the contracts, coordinating contracts requests, and managing the timely renewal or termination of contracts to meet internal policies. In addition, you will work closely with members of the Legal and Compliance team and cross-functional teams across the organization. The role requires a self-motivated and highly collaborative individual who excels in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry of customer and procurement (vendor) commercial contracts.
  • Create, manage, and maintain customer and vendor contract files, updating contracts databases.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal department personnel to process vendor requests.
  • Work with Vendors to obtain renewals contracts (such as NDA, SOC 2 report, and Terms) and other information for legal review and contract negotiation.
  • Assist the Legal Department in negotiating and optimizing legal and business terms.
  • Calendar vendor contract renewal dates.
  • Assist with the contract signatures process as needed and (upload to various internal portals).
  • Provide internal facing legal customer support and some interaction with vendors directly.
  • Meet Compliance objectives in conducting vendor checks.
  • Support the Legal team in problem-solving.
  • Manage and respond to various legal requests and projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of related experience and/or training in a corporate environment.
  • At least 1 year of legal and/or contract experience in a Technology company preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent.
  • Full-time preferred but will also consider part-time.
  • Able to work US Pacific hours at least 50% of the time.

Additional Skills Needed:

  • Exposure to global contracts, SAAS, tech contracts, NDAs, and compliance documents.
  • Organized and excellent follow-through.
  • Have strong multi-tasking skills and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize requests and work independently.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Rapid turnaround in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Easy to work with as you must interact with cross-functional organizations.
  • Intellectually curious and can learn new things quickly.
  • High attention to detail and follow through.
