The Accounting Director will be responsible for accounting functions including month-end closing, financial statement reporting, reconciliations and account analysis, and variance analysis. This role will involve cross-functional communication and partnership across the organization as well as a proactive spirit and a philosophy of ownership accountability to complete his/her job successfully.

 

Responsibilities

•        Lead the financial close process for the corporate entity, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and supporting reconciliation.

•        Responsible for preparation of timely and accurate consolidated financial statements including consolidated statement of cash flows and statement of equity and ensure consolidated financial statements are prepared timely in accordance with GAAP and internal company policies.

•        Prepare and review schedules, reporting packages, and analytics.

•        Oversee the financial accounting operations and close processes in the Netherlands and Singapore.

•        Oversee payroll and sales commission processing and related tax filings.

•        Manage the stock-based compensation expenses.

•        Manage and ensure accuracy over accounting for lease under ASC 842.

•        Assist in the monthly and quarterly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts for management review.

•        Accountable for the Company's annual impairment testing of goodwill and acquired intangibles.

•        Manage and perform accounting research and technical compliance research. Thoroughly research and document all accounting principles and procedural recommendations while assisting in resolving financial issues.

•        Play a key role in the annual financial audit, including liaising with external auditors, preparing PBC schedules and notes to financial statements, and managing team deliverables.

•        Assist in M&A integration activities.

•        Assist in preparation technical accounting memos as transactions arise and incorporate new accounting pronouncements into operational processes.

•        Assist in implementing accounting policies, procedures and systems as required, and ensure internal control procedures are adequate, properly documented and regularly reviewed.

•        Manage efforts to strengthening the control environment and implementing process improvements with a particular focus on enhancing our use of technology and development of automated solutions.

•        Lead cross functional projects as requested including design of end-to-end processes, working with IT to test and implement systems.

•        Responsible for the support of various ad-hoc projects as the business requires. 

 

Qualifications & Experience

•        Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.

•        10+ years of experience with 5+ years of relevant leadership work experience in public accounting and at least 3 years of experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm, preferred.

•        Experience operating in FX re-measurement and translation, strong knowledge of consolidations accounting and accounting policies and procedures.

•        Problem-solver who can roll up their sleeves to deliver results while implementing solutions to support the company’s future growth.

•        Passion for excellence, attention to detail, willingness to get into the weeds; strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment and dynamic environment.

•        Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

•        Experience with NetSuite a plus.

•        Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the use of pivot tables and vlookup, required.

•        Software-as-a Service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience and solid knowledge of ASC 606 is desired.
