What will you do in this role?

Our ideal candidate exemplifies strong work ethics, values, dedication, and character that thrive in a fast-paced environment. As Accounts Receivable and Billing specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in the entire order to cash process as well as maintaining the accuracy of the company’s customer accounts and overall data integrity of our accounting system. To succeed in this position, you need to have a proactive attitude, the ability to prioritize and be a strong communicator to work with cross-functional teams including sales and customer success team.

The key responsibilities of this role will require you to:

• Support the entire order to cash process including managing invoices, collections, credits, and cash applications timely.
• Perform review of customer POs and contracts to ensure billings are created in accordance with terms.
• Maintain accuracy of the outstanding balance for customer accounts.
• Create AR statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
• Resolve outstanding balances or issues as needed, collaborating with sales.
• Assist sales and customers with questions regarding customer accounts.
• Support annual external audit function.
• Contribute to process improvement projects to drive operational efficiency.
• Lead month-end and year-end billing close processes
• Assist with other special projects as needed, take on additional duties and ad-hoc activities.

Who you are?

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Billing.
• Good communication skills to work objectively with people in different functions within the organization including Sales, Customer Success, and Business System team.
• Ability to work independently, follow-through on tasks and problem solve with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to get into the weeds; strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Software-as-a Service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience and basic knowledge of ASC 606 is desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot and V-Lookups).
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce.com, Stripe, and ZoneBilling is a plus.
