As a Mechanical Engineer at Tractian, you'll drive the innovation and development of our IIoT solutions. Collaborating across teams, you'll apply your expertise in mechanics and design to create high-performance products that redefine industrial asset management. From concept to execution, your role will shape Tractian's industry-leading technology, ensuring top-tier quality and functionality in every solution we deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings of components and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Creo, or NX).

  • Apply simplified engineering analyses for quick project verification.

  • Evaluate and interpret simulation results to identify design improvements and ensure the structural integrity of products.

  • Work with design for manufacturing (DFM) to ensure projects are optimized for machining, plastic injection molding, casting, and other manufacturing processes.

  • Develop physical prototypes and conduct tests to validate product performance, iterating as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, production) to ensure an efficient development workflow.

  • Participate in design reviews, providing insights and suggestions for continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Creo, or NX).

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, following ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101 standards.

  • Solid understanding of mechanics, materials science, and design principles.

  • Experience with manufacturing and production processes, including machining, plastic injection molding, casting, and forming.

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Technical English proficiency for reading and writing.

Bonus points

  • Experience with CAE simulation (Fusion Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar tools).

  • Experience with high-aesthetic standard injected products, including in-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and technical application details.
